Rhino Gathers Music From Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Including The Chipmunks And Chipettes Covering Hits By Beyonce, Katy Perry, Pink, Foreigner, And The Bee Gees, Plus Guest Appearances By Honor Society, Queensberry, And Charice

LOS ANGELES - Following the enormous global success of 2007's Alvin And The Chipmunks, 20^th Century Fox presents Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Due in theaters nationwide December 23, the film directed by Betty Thomas stars Jason Lee and Zachary Levi, along with the voices of Justin Long, Amy Poehler, and Christina Applegate. Rhino gives fans a "squeak" peek at music featured in the upcoming film including covers some of today's top hits and classic tracks, as well as original songs, performed by The Chipmunks and The Chipettes.

The Chipmunks cover a wide range of music in the film, including Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)," "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees and Foreigner's classic power ballad, "I Want To Know What Love Is." The teen sensation Honor Society partners with Alvin, Simon, and Theodore for a rocking take on The Kinks' "You Really Got Me." Beyond the choice covers, the collection also contains two new songs by the Chipmunks, "It's OK" and "Bring It On."

The Chipettes put their unique spin on Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold," Pink's "So What," and Corrine Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On." The popular German girl group Queensberry joins Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette for "The Song," a new track written especially for the film. To cover Alicia Keys' "No One," the Chipettes enlist the vocal talents of David Foster protégé Charice, who has made several recent appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

All 15 of the album's songs appear in the film, with the exception of the bonus track, a cover of The Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" performed by The Chipmunks with The Chipettes. The groups team up again for Peaches & Herb's "Shake Your Groove Thing" and Sister Sledge's "We Are Family."

In the Squeakquel, pop sensations Alvin (Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) end up in the care of Dave Seville's 20-something nephew Toby (Levi). Putting aside music superstardom, the boys return to school to save its music program by winning the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands. But The Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing girl chipmunks known as The Chipettes - Brittany (Anna Faris), Eleanor (Poehler), and Jeanette (Applegate). Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when The Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.
