Brett Eldredge has been nominated for New Artist of the Year at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards, and voting has opened up to Canada. Voting ends March 24th on the CBS website.
Eldredge gained mainstream popularity in 2013 with the huge success of his debut album, Bring You Back, including the number one single, “Don’t Ya.” The winner of the prestigious award will be named on the live broadcast of the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, co-hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 8:00 PM.Avenged Sevenfold Embark On Shepherd Of Fire Tour

The Motorleague have released their new music video for the single "Burned In Effigy", which takes a look back on their 88-date tour last fall. The video is compiled of footage shot between September 1st to December 5th, 2013, and reflects on the incredible sights, expriences, and friendships developed during that time. If we're lucky, we'll get another behind-the-scenes music video after their upcoming tour with Protest The Hero.

Record Store Day Canada has officially announced that the 2014 Record Store Day Spokesband is Canada's favourite musical sons, Blue Rodeo. Since bursting onto the Toronto club scene in the mid-80’s, Blue Rodeo have been on a remarkable career path that has led to over 4 million records sold, multiple JUNO Awards, world-wide tours, an induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and a Star on the Walk of Fame.
"Record stores are so much more than just merchandise sellers", says Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy, "They are a social service - like minded people sharing their love and knowlege of music".
