"We Are Young" by Fun. Is # 1 - And Platinum - In Canada!

<strong><u>“WE ARE YOUNG” BY fun. IS #1 – AND PLATINUM – IN CANADA!</u> </strong> fun.’s breakthrough hit “We Are Young” (feat. Janelle Monáe) has ascended to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Canada Singles Chart today. Also today in Canada, the track has been certified platinum. “We Are Young” is one of the many highlights found on the band’s newly released Fueled By Ramen album, “SOME NIGHTS.” The single is further proving a multi-format radio sensation in Canada, scoring Top 5 airplay at Alternative/Modern Rock outlets nationwide. As well, “We Are Young” was the No. 1 most added song at Pop radio in Canada and doubled its overall audience impressions to more than six million. fun. will celebrate the blockbuster success of “We Are Young” with an eagerly awaited performance on CBS’ <u>Late Show with David Letterman</u>, slated for April 23rd. An outspoken advocate for equal rights and marriage equality, fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff recently published the first in a series of blog posts for The Huffington Post’s “Gay Voices,” entitled “<a href = ''>Straight Allies: The Importance and the Realities.</a>” Having earned widespread acclaim with their 2009 debut album, “AIM AND IGNITE,” fun. decided to raise the stakes with “SOME NIGHTS” by teaming with noted producer Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Drake). The band and Bhasker have worked to evolve the idiosyncratic fun. sound by marrying their robust melodies with elements of hip-hop.
