For immediate release

Coalition Music recording artists Our Lady Peace have announced an early Christmas present for their fans around the world. On Tuesday, December 20, 2011, the song, âHeayweight,â will be made available on iTunes in North America. All other DSPs will have the track beginning January 3, 2012. âHeavyweightâ is the first single from Our Lady Peaceâs forthcoming album, scheduled for release in the Spring of 2012.

Our Lady Peace have been recording their as-yet-untitled eighth studio album in Toronto and Los Angeles with co-producer Jason Lader.

In a note posted to fans at www.ourladypeace.com, the group writes, âWe feel that this is our most compelling recording since we formed this band. Itâs the record weâve been trying to make for many years now. We now understand that the struggle to get here was not in vain.â More details about the new album will be released in the New Year.

In other news, OLP singer Raine Maida will receive the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit award during Canadian Music Week along with his wife, singer Chantal Kreviazuk in recognition of their longstanding commitment to charitable initiatives. Individually they have contributed to charities worldwide in support of human and animal rights, world peace, education and the environment.

Our Lady Peace will perform live in Niagara Falls on December 31, 2011 as part of Entertainment Tonight Canadaâs New Yearâs Eve celebration broadcast nationally on Global TV.
