Big Beat recording artist Martin Solveig has announced the North American release of his worldwide blockbuster album, âSMASH.â The collection will be available digitally August 21st; a physical release will follow on September 18th.

The album includes the multi-platinum hit single, âHelloâ and two versions of Solveigâs latest single âThe Night Outâ â a remix from rising electronic star Madeon, and another from Grammy nominated DJ and Kanye West collaborator A-Trak. In addition, a special âDigital Deluxeâ edition of âSMASHâ will be on offer, which features an array of extras including music videos, live tracks, and exclusive remixes from the likes of Sidney Samson, and Les Bros (see attached tracklistings). Also included is the music video for âThe Night Out,â which just earned Solveig an MTV Video Music Award nomination for âBest Electronic Dance Music Video.â The video features a whoâs who of electronic music royalty, with cameos by A-Trak, Laidback Luke, Sidney Samson, Porter Robinson, Madeon, Dillon Francis and Zedd.

Solveig will celebrate the arrival of âSMASHâ with a major North American tour. The dates see the superstar DJ/producer serving as special guest on Madonnaâs hugely anticipated 2012 World Tour, slated to hit these shores August 30th at Montrealâs Bell Centre and then continuing through mid-November (see attached itinerary).

Solveig is, of course, one of the primary producers of Madonnaâs blockbuster new album, âMDNA.â Among his contributions to the chart-topping collection are tracks like âBeautiful Killerâ (inspired by Solveig and Madonnaâs mutual passion for Jean-Pierre Melvilleâs classic crime thriller, Le Samouraï), âTurn Up The Radio,â âI Donât Give A (Feat. Nicki Minaj),â and the international hit single, âGive Me All Your Luvinâ (Feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.).â Martin is currently accompanying Madonna as her special guest on the European leg of her 2012 World Tour, with dates including stadium shows in Tel Aviv, Rome, Milan, Florence, Barcelona, Coimbra, Berlin, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Amsterdam, Koln, Brussels, Paris, London, Vienna, Helsinki, and Zurich.

As if all that werenât enough, Solveig has also slated performances at upcoming U.S. festivals and headline dates. Highlights include a lead role at New Yorkâs upcoming Electric Zoo 2012, scheduled for September 1st at Randallâs Island Park.

âSMASHâ sees Solveig confirming his place as a leading light in 21st century electronic dance music. The album â which features Solveigâs frequent collaborators, Canadian electropop combo Dragonette, alongside such diverse talents as Kele, Dev, Sunday Girl, and the perpetually regenerating Japanese pop combo, Idoling!!! â includes a string of global dancefloor and pop hits, including âBig In Japan,â âThe Night Out,â âBoys & Girls,â and of course, âHello.â

âHello,â has proven a true phenomenon around the world. The track has earned RIAA platinum certification in the US for sales in excess of 1.3 million, and has also received platinum certification in Australia, Belgium, Germany and Italy while earning triple platinum certification in Canada where it also won the 2012 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. âHelloâ peaked at #1 on both the iTunes âTop Dance Songs Chartâ and Billboardâs âHot Dance/Club Play Songs,â while also reaching the top 20 of the âPop Songsâ ranking of mainstream top 40 radio airplay detections as measured by Nielsen BDS.

Furthermore, the video for âHelloâ is a true YouTube blockbuster having racked up more than 100 million combined views. Shot on location at the Roland Garros French Tennis Open in front of 12,000 spectators, the trackâs companion clip features cameos from real international tennis stars such as Novak Djokovic, Gaël Monfils, Olivia Sanchez, and Mathilde Johansson, plus fellow French superstar DJ/Producer, Bob Sinclar as Martinâs worthy tennis adversary. The ingenious clip, which received rotation on both MTV and VH1, was also named as âVideo of the Dayâ on VH1âs Morning Buzz and was featured on MTVâs popular The Seven.

Both Solveig and âHelloâ have received rapturous critical acclaim from all corners of the globe with features and reviews in outlets such as USA Today, Billboard, E! News, Entertainment Weekly, The Huffington Post, and Esquire UK. SPIN Magazine named âHelloâ as one of its â20 Best Songs of Summer,â declaring that Solveig is âshaping how pop musicâs going to sound in the next few years.â

Fueled by the popularity of âHello,â Solveig was named MTVâs âPUSH Artist of the Weekâ in May 2012, followed by his role as on-camera house DJ at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Other notable honors include a 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards nomination as âBest French Artistâ and a 2012 JUNO Award honoring âHelloâ as the âDance Recording of the Year.â
