On July 17, Chop Shop/Atlantic Records will release the self-titled debut album from Los Angeles-based quintet Milo Greene. See below for track listing. Esquire placed Milo Greene on its list of â2012's Artists to Watchâ and praised the collectionâs first single, â1957,â noting: âthe final 40 seconds offer what may go down as the most melodic vocal pile-up of 2012.â Entertainment Weeklyâs tapped the track for its âSingle Swap,â recommending it for fans of Mumford & Sons âLittle Lion Man.â You can check out the band performing â1957â at:

Milo Greene will kick off a North American headlining tour on May 17 at Soho in Santa Barbara. Stops include Los Angelesâ legendary Troubadour (6/23) and the Mercury Lounge in New York City (7/26). After supporting The Civil Wars on their 2011 U.S. tour, Milo Greene has been invited to play a pair of shows with the GRAMMY®-winning duo in late May. Milo Greene will also perform at Lollapalooza this August. See below for itinerary.

âMilo Greene makes folk-tinged music with perfectly blended male-female harmonies, but they marry that sound with thunderous live drums and infectious sing along choruses,â said NPR Music, singling out Milo Greene as one of the most promising new bands in its âMusic We Missed in 2011â post.

The LA Weekly, which named Milo Greene as one of five must-see L.A. bands at SXSW, said: âFollowing in the footsteps of groups like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroesâ¦the outfit blends complex harmonies with folk-pop, which has elicited comparisons to bands like Fleet Foxes and Local Natives.â âMilo Greene makes incredibly aware cinematic pop music that seems to pause at all the right moments: the ones that paw at those taut heartstrings to elicit the correct emotions,â observed The Portland Mercury.

Enlisting Ryan Hadlock (Ra Ra Riot, Blonde Redhead, The Gossip) as co-producer, Milo Greene retreated to Bear Creek Studio, a converted turn-of-the-century barn outside Seattle, to record its debut album. The setting clearly suited the bandâs entrancing, emotional soundscapes. From the hypnotic âAutumn Treeâ and shimmering âDonât You Give Up On Meâ to the infectious â1957â and delicate âSilent Way,â Milo Greeneâs ruminations on life and love are timeless, capturing subtle nuances and rendering them with complex harmonies and organic, richly textured instrumentation.

Milo Greene is: Robbie Arnett, Graham Fink, Andrew Heringer, Curtis Marrero and Marlana Sheetz.
