Brodinski relases first single, "Can't HelpMyself" feat. SD on November 17 October 22 2014
Brodinski has carved his own niche as a pioneer of experimental leftfield dance music with a succession of forward-thinking projects. These include co-founding the influential Bromance label collective; co-producing material on Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ album alongside label-mate Gesaffelstein; landing residencies at Radio 1 and Rinse FM France; and working with the likes of Danny Brown, Suicideyear, Kaytranada and Theophilus London.
The next stage in Brodinski’s ever-evolving career comes with the release of his first Parlophone single, ‘Can’t Help Myself’, which features Chicago rapper SD. As with Brodinski’s highly regarded DJ sets, the track reflects his experimental forays in to the world of Hip Hop, whilst maintaining a cohesive grounding in the darker furrows of Techno. SD’s lyrics ride low over a crunked up beat, before the tempo doubles up erupting into a driving electronic 4/4 rhythm.
Ever since young Louis Rogé decided to flunk university and turn Brodinski into a full-time operation, it was his passion for unearthing and creating exciting new tunes that drove him forward. After being championed at a tender age by heavyweights such as Busy P, 2manydjs, Tiga and Erol Alkan, Brodinski earned the opportunity to share his musical obsession with like-minded souls the world over.
‘Can’t Help Myself’ also features on Bromance’s upcoming debut compilation ‘Homieland Vol.1’ which follows on November 24th. The project features tracks from the label’s family of artists plus their most loved friends - split across two discs. Transcending genre barriers it is an unparalleled collection of futuristic productions with contributions from Sam Tiba, Panteros666, Louisahhh!!!, Maelstrom, Jimmy Edgar, Distal and Suicideyear… There will be further activity around ‘Homieland’ in the coming months with a BMC Homieland worldwide tour and some other surprises.
Brodinski is currently working on his debut album due for release in 2015.
