GYM CLASS HEROES SET NORTH AMERICAN TOUR;

NEW ALBUM âTHE PAPERCUT CHRONICLES IIâ

DUE FOR RELEASE OCTOBER 25

Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group Gym Class Heroes has announced plans for a major North American tour. The dates â which see the alternative hip-hop superstars co-headlining alongside The Dirty Heads â will kick off on October 12th at Tampa, Floridaâs Jannus Landing and then continue through mid-November (see attached itinerary). The tour includes a stop at Torontoâs Kool Haus on October 28.

A ticket pre-sale will begin on Thursday, August 18, and public on-sales will take place on Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20, with the date varying by city. In addition to general tickets, Gym Class Heroes will offer fans a special package which will include early entry, a pre-order of âTHE PAPERCUT CHRONICLES II,â a Gym Class Heroes t-shirt and autographed tour poster, and a commemorative VIP laminate in addition to the ticket. The tour heralds Gym Class Heroesâ hugely anticipated new album, âTHE PAPERCUT CHRONICLES II,â which is slated for release October 25. The albumâs first single, âStereo Hearts (Feat. Adam Levine),â was produced by Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha) and is on sale now via iTunes and all leading DSPs.

The âStereo Heartsâ companion video clip â directed by Hiro Murai (Lupe Fiasco, Bloc Party, B.o.B) â premiered worldwide last week. The trackâs lyric video is streaming now at Fueled By Ramenâs official YouTube channel (located at www.youtube.com/user/FueledByRamen) where it has already drawn more than 5 million views.

âStereo Hearts (Feat. Adam Levine)â is also drawing extensive critical acclamation, with Entertainment Weekly praising its âlanguid, well-bronzed hook.â Billboard extolled frontman Travie McCoyâs âclever versesâ and Levineâs âpoignant hook,â going on to hail the âupbeat love songâ as âsomething unique.â Rolling Stone applauded McCoyâs âskill at pop that floats between styles,â declaring âStereo Heartsâ to be âa little bit hip-hop, a little bit disco, a little bit dark-synched club music.â

Gym Class Heroes â who recently performed âStereo Heartsâ with Levine on NBCâs blockbuster singing competition, The Voice â are currently on the road as one of the top acts headlining Vans Warped Tour â11. The Geneva, New York-based band will also be among the stars performing at the eagerly awaited FBR15 series of multi-artist concerts at New York Cityâs Terminal 5. The shows, which celebrate Fueled By Ramenâs 15th anniversary, are slated for September 7th through 9th, with Gym Class Heroes scheduled to perform alongside Sublime With Rome, The Stereo, and Recover on September 8th. With their alternative hip-hop style and use of live instruments in favor of looped samples and canned beats, Gym Class Heroes caught the ear of Fall Out Boyâs Pete Wentz, who immediately signed the group to his Decaydance imprint and released their Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen debut, 2005âs âTHE PAPERCUT CHRONICLES.â The Geneva, NY-based group spent much of the next two years on the road, including a now-legendary stint on Vans Warped Tour â06 which had them playing two sets a day to euphoric audiences across North America.

âAS CRUEL AS SCHOOL CHILDRENâ arrived in 2006 and quickly catapulted GCH to international superstardom via the #1 blockbuster hit, âCupidâs Chokehold/Breakfast In America.â The track was a multiple chart-topping crossover smash, earning RIAA platinum while also driving âAS CRUEL AS SCHOOL CHILDRENâ to gold certification for sales exceeding 500,000.

Gym Class Heroes followed up their breakthrough success with 2008âs âTHE QUILT,â featuring such extraordinary collaborators as Busta Rhymes, Daryl Hall and the bandâs longtime friend and collaborator, Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. The album received critical hosannas from an array of national publications, including Alternative Press, which awarded the album four-and-a-half stars and hailed it as âa sampler of styles (sweet reggae, early-â90s rap, blissful punk-pop) where every square makes sense.â

In 2010, GCHâs main man Travie McCoy unleashed his genre-busting, groundbreaking solo debut album, âLAZARUS,â and immediately earned another colossal crossover hit single in âBillionaire (Feat. Bruno Mars).â The 2x RIAA platinum-certified track proved one of the yearâs defining singles and an unqualified multi-format phenomenon, drawing a cumulative audience in excess of 1 billion.
