âLIVE! WITH KELLY & MICHAEL,â âKATIE,â
AND âJIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!â;

MAIN SUPPORT ON TAYLOR SWIFTâS NORTH AMERICAN TOUR BEGINS IN MARCH

Elektra recording artist Ed Sheeran is wrapping up 2012 with a slate of nationally televised performances of his single âThe A Teamâ from his acclaimed debut album â+â â certified gold in Canada. The young British singer-songwriter will take over daytime television tomorrow, December 4th, appearing on nationally syndicated shows LIVE with Kelly & Michael and Katie. Sheeran will then perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on December 18th. This year has already seen raft of performances, including NBCâs TODAY, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Last Call with Carson Daly, TBSâ Conan, and the nationally syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show, as well as MuchMusicâs New Music Live, the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards, and CBCâs Q.

Already an award winning songwriter for his own solo material, the 21-year old artist has also collaborated with a number of his chart-topping contemporaries. He recently co-wrote and recorded âEverything Has Changed (Feat. Ed Sheeran),â an extraordinary duet on Taylor Swiftâs acclaimed new album, âRED,â which immediately went to #1 on the iTunes âTop Singlesâ chart upon its release. One Directionâs just-released album âTAKE ME HOMEâ features a pair of songs written by Sheeran: âOver Againâ and the single âLittle Things.â Sheeran had previously co-written âMomentsâ from One Directionâs 2011 debut âUP ALL NIGHT.â

Sheeranâs 2013 trek gets underway January 17th at Houstonâs House of Blues and then continues through mid-February. Following his headlining tour, Sheeran will support Taylor Swift on her hugely anticipated âThe Red Tour.â The dates get underway March 13th and 14th with a two-night stand in Omaha, Nebraska, and then continue through mid-September, hitting arenas and stadiums across North America (see attached itinerary), including four Canadian dates in June.

Masterfully blending soulful vocals with organic folk introspection and irresistible hip-hop hooks, Sheeran is a genuine phenomenon. Inspired by such diverse artists as James Morrison, Damien Rice, and Jay-Z, the gifted tunesmithâs major label debut single, âThe A Team,â first arrived in June 2011 and instantly proved an unqualified sensation, entering among the top 3 on the U.K. Singles Chart. The track spent 11 consecutive weeks in the U.K. Top 10, making history as 2011âs highest charting, biggest selling debut single. Sheeranâs full-length debut, â+,â soon followed, entering the U.K. Albums Chart at #1 with the highest opening sales figures for a debut male solo artist ever and is now certified 5x platinum.

In addition to their popular success, Sheeran and â+â received extensive acclaim, including the prestigious âBreakthrough Artistâ trophy at the Q Awards 2011. Even greater accolades came in early 2012 as Sheeran emerged victorious with a pair of top 2011 Brit Awards â including âBest Male Artistâ and âBest Breakthrough Artistâ â after having led the field with a remarkable four total nods. Furthermore, âThe A Teamâ received the high honor of a 2012 Ivor Novello Award nomination in the âBest Song Musically and Lyricallyâ category.

One of the U.K.âs biggest musical breakthroughs, Sheeran was among the superstars performing at this yearâs Royal Diamond Jubilee Concert, where he celebrated the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth IIâs reign by sharing the stage with such rock royalty as Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, and Sir Tom Jones. After maintaining a non-stop touring schedule that included countless main stage festival appearances around the globe, Sheeran closed the summer with a memorable performance of Pink Floydâs âWish You Were Hereâ (alongside Pink Floydâs Nick Mason, Genesisâ Mike Rutherford, and Richard Jones of The Feeling) at the London 2012 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony.

This fall saw every date on his first-ever North American headline tour sell out, with many shows upgraded to larger venues in order to accommodate an increasingly fervent fanbase. Most recently, Entertainment Weekly included Sheeran in their Grammy predictions for âBest New Artistâ award nominees.
