Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has unveiled early details of their hugely anticipated, self-titled new album. âPARAMOREâ arrives everywhere on April 9th, 2013.
The Grammy-nominated bandâs first all-new release in more than three years, âPARAMOREâ marks the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2009âs âbrand new eyes,â certified gold in Canada. The new album â Paramoreâs fourth full-length studio recording â was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Justin Meldal-Johnson, known for his work with such diverse artists as Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Tegan and Sara, and M83. The first single from âPARAMOREâ is entitled âNow.â More information on the new album to be revealed soon.
Paramore âsinger Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor York - first unveiled the news via a personal blog announcement at the bandâs official website www.paramore.net. âThe whole making of this album was a rediscovering of ourselves as a band and as friends,â the band wrote. âIt was a process that allowed us the freedom to explore new territory artistically and to liberate ourselves as musicians, singers, as people! The band will herald the release of âPARAMOREâ with a much-anticipated Southeast Asian/Australian tour. The trek includes dates in Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as a prominent role on Australiaâs annual Soundwave festival tour. The follow-up to the gold-certified second album, âRIOT!,â âbrand new eyesâ officially established Paramore as one of the most popular and significant bands of the modern era. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Kid Rock, My Chemical Romance) and co-produced by the band, the album entered the SoundScan/Billboard 200 album chart at #2, logging the biggest first-week sales of Fueled By Ramenâs history at that date. The album also proved an international phenomenon, entering the album charts at #1 in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK as well as #2 in Mexico and #3 in Canada. The album also debuted in Canada at No. 1 on the Alternative chart.

Fueled by the sensational hit singles, âIgnorance,â âBrick By Boring Brick,â and âThe Only Exception,â âbrand new eyesâ was declared âAlbum of the Yearâ in Alternative Pressâ âReaders Poll â09,â and was named the #2 favorite on the magazineâs own âBest Albums of 2009â tally. AP also named Williams as âBest Vocalist of the Year,â while the New York Timesâ Jon Caramanica placed âbrand new eyesâ on his 2009 Top 10, praising it for âchoruses (that) roll up like tidal waves.â
Whatâs more, Spin counted âbrand new eyesâ among its â40 Best Albums of 2009,â noting that Paramore have âentered the rarified world of rock that matters.â Spin also named the opening night of âThe PARAMORE Tourâ as one of its â30 Biggest Concerts of 2009,â calling it âan exhilarating and unifying moment for fans bent on making Williams their generationâs Gwen Stefani.â
Further honors rolled in, including Paramore being named âFavorite Rock Bandâ at the 2010 Peopleâs Choice Awards. âThe Only Exceptionâ received a Grammy Award nomination for âBest Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocalsâ to go along with their previous Grammy Award nomination for âBest New Artistâ in 2008. In addition, the bandâs top 40 smash single, âDecodeâ â featured on âTWILIGHTâORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACKâ â received a Grammy Award nomination as âBest Song Written For Motion Picture, Television, Or Other Visual Media.â
