Join Lykke Li Through Her Wounded Rhymes To Watch Her Play On The Moon
March 02 2011

Atlantic Records UK artist, Lykke Li released her second album Wounded Rhymes Tuesday, March 1st, and has invited fans to explore her own journey with an interactive website that combines Google Maps, Earth and Streetview with Lykke Liâs vision of the world (and beyond).

Via www.woundedrhymes.com, users are invited to follow Lykkeâs emotional journey across continents, exploring the albumâs themes and plotting their own journeys on the way. Aside from being an unbelievably beautiful mash-up of Googleâs services, the website creates a unique vision of âWounded Rhymesâ, which culminates in a very special and exclusive performance on the moon.
The website, built by UK web design agency Pretty Good, combines Googleâs planetary mapping initiative Google Earth with the Google Maps, Google Fusion and Google Streetview APIs. Through the application the user is rewarded with a unique performance by Lykke on the surface of the moon, through Googleâs mapping of its surface.

Fans can also plot their own locations of emotional significance onto Google maps and share these with their friends on Facebook and Twitter. Throughout the journey fans are able to access videos, music and lyrics from the new album using integration with Soundcloud and YouTube, as well as ask for hints and tips via Twitter.

Lykke says: âIâm really happy that weâve been able to create something beautiful that allows my fans to experience my new album in such an interesting way.â

Visit the Wounded Rhymes website now to experience Lykkeâs journey and watch her mesmerizing performance on the earthâs closest satellite.
